This week’s adventure took us to the limited-time immersive exhibit of Van Gogh’s artwork. The art speaks for itself, but here is the low down on everything to know before you go!
Due to restrictions, they required each party to select a time slot to arrive. However once you are in, you are free to stay and soak it in as long as you would like! After checking in you are lead through a curtain into an expansive room with an ongoing loop of Van Gogh’s art.
Something we did not realize before going but is good to keep in mind… you will be in a room full of people, no privacy here! We recommend choosing a spot close to the wall or a bench so you don’t have too many people in your view!
Although they don’t mind if you move a bit!
Now to be immersed! By immersed they do mean they display it on the walls.. but not much else. The paintings glide by you and move slowly in any given direction. If you are prone to motion sickness, this may not be the place for you! Hannah had to close her eyes a few times to curb hers.
Overall, we enjoyed the experience but we both agreed one time seeing it was enough. We had high expectations from pictures off the internet, which may have been our let down.
If you are an absolute nut for Van Gogh, you will thrive here. It is a great place for an art lover to soak it in, and even take a notebook to get inspiration.
