Habibi Cafe & Sweets

Desserts have been our obsession lately, so naturally, we had to check out Habibi Café & Sweets in Hilliard. This cozy little café doesn’t just serve up crêpes — it’s a sweet tooth’s dream come true, offering everything from refreshing smoothies and indulgent milkshakes to Dubai chocolate-covered strawberries and even a few cocktails! One of the most intriguing items on their menu is the Turkish coffee, brewed the traditional way over sand for a smoother, richer flavor. It looked amazing, but since it was already afternoon, we decided to save that for another visit.

We each went for milkshakes while my cousins ordered crêpes and those eye-catching Dubai chocolate strawberries. We grabbed a spot on the comfy couches lining the wall and waited for the magic to happen.

The strawberries arrived first, and wow — they did not disappoint. Freshly sliced strawberries tucked into a cup, drenched in silky milk chocolate and pistachio cream, then topped with chopped pistachios and a sprinkle of kataifi (think shredded phyllo dough). Classic chocolate and fruit, but leveled up with a satisfying crunch and extra flavor layers. We couldn’t get enough!

Next up: the milkshakes. Josh played it safe with a classic Oreo, while I opted for the Lotus Biscoff. Both were fantastic, but the Biscoff stole the show — that caramel-y, ginger-spiced flavor blended perfectly with the creamy milk and generous dollop of whipped cream.

The crêpe took a bit longer, as one person was manning the crêpe griddle solo, but trust me, it was worth every second. When our Oreo crêpe finally arrived, it was almost too beautiful to eat. Drenched in sauces and artfully striped, it looked like something straight out of a dessert dream.

Right now, they’re serving all drinks in to-go cups, but you’re more than welcome to sit back and enjoy your treats either on the plush couches or at one of the long communal tables.

If you know us, you know we love exploring flavors from all over the world — and Habibi Café & Sweets quickly became one of our new top favorites. It’s a family-run gem that just opened about a year ago, but judging by how packed it was at 3 PM on a Sunday, it’s clearly caught on fast. Sure, the prices lean a little higher, but the care, creativity, and quality in every bite make it more than worth it.
