We always enjoy trying out new foods and cuisines, but what about the food we grew up eating? Italian food has always been a staple for our families. The quick cook time and minimal effort made spaghetti a frequent dinner choice, and there was a time when Olive Garden was the only Italian restaurant we’d consider.
One day, we stumbled upon Lola & Giuseppe’s, thinking it was just another average Italian joint. However, the restaurant was fully booked for the evening, and after reading spectacular reviews online, we decided to make a reservation for a week later. When the time finally came, we found out why reservations were essential – the cozy restaurant had only about ten tables.
The intimate atmosphere and limited seating made the experience special. Their menu offered classic Italian dishes like Alfredo sauce and Ravioli. We ordered the Veal Marsala and the Chef’s Seafood Special. The restaurant’s decoration transported us to Italy, and we learned that the current owner has maintained the tradition set by the original owners.
When our food arrived, we could taste the love and care put into each dish. Although I am very particular about Italian cuisine and always look for something different, the Veal Marsala was a classic yet exceptional dish. The chef and current owner made sure to visit each table, enhancing the experience. Lola and Joe may have retired, but their legacy lives on through the current chef.
If you’re looking for a great Italian dining experience, make a reservation at Lola & Giuseppe’s and try some of their dishes. Let us know if you were as impressed as we were. This is one of the few Italian places that has truly left an impression on us. If you have more great Italian spots for us to explore, feel free to email us!
