An eclectic atmosphere with antique decorations and rave reviews inspired me to take Hannah here for breakfast on one of our date days. So, we drove to Hilliard and found another delicious spot hiding in a brick building.
The outside of the restaurant gives no indication of the funky paintings and colors inside. As you are escorted into the main dining room or bar, make sure to check out all the various decorations hanging from the walls and ceilings. Murals cover some walls, while others contain everything from clocks to old license plates. Even a carousel horse dangles from the ceiling. Even the bathroom was a bright, shocking pink. We toured the dining rooms before leaving to take it all in.
The menu offered a combination of classic dishes and those with Cuban inspiration. They even make their own bread in-house! It’s no wonder they have been operating since 1995. The food and drinks were a great start to our day out. Although we were so full of the comfort food we had chosen, it was hard to finish it all. Luckily, we didn’t have to do much physical exercise for a bit afterward!
We are excited to go back soon to try their lunch/dinner menu and their weekday happy hour!
